Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a relaxing form of massage therapy that utilizes various types of modalities, including long gliding strokes with light to medium pressure in the direction of blood flow towards the heart.  This aids in the removal of toxins through the body’s circulatory & lymphatic systems. Swedish massage brings fresh nutrient rich oxygenated blood to tense muscles promoting healing, easing muscle tension, and reducing pain. Swedish massage is an excellent way to reduce stress and relax the mind and body.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage incorporates techniques that penetrate into the deeper muscle layers of the body to release adhesions, break up scar tissue, and realign muscle fibers. Using firm pressure with slower strokes, deep tissue massage is extremely beneficial in easing chronic muscle pain & stiffness, improving posture, and increasing range of motion. Excellent for specific problem areas.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot stone therapy uses smooth, heated stones to gently warm and relax muscles.  Basalt river stones are held in the therapists hands during your massage and also placed on various parts of the body.  The weight and localized heat of the stones allows muscle tension to melt away, allowing deeper pressure.  Hot Stone therapy is comforting and deeply relaxing.

Ask your therapist about adding cold marble stones to your treatment.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic form of bodywork that involves applying pressure to the hands and feet to produce changes in pain and other benefits throughout the body.  Reflexology is based on the belief that reflex points on the hands and feet are connected to specific organs and body parts.  Reflexology is believed to balance the nervous system and stimulate the release of endorphins that help to reduce pain and stress. This treatment can also be enjoyed as an addition to any massage therapy service.

Mommy to Be

Give your changing body the relaxation it deserves for the hard work it’s doing with a relaxing prenatal massage. Prenatal Massage Therapy is beneficial to women after their first trimester of pregnancy.  Performed with the client in a side-lying position, massage therapy encourages blood and lymph circulation which can help reduce edema, relax nervous tension, anxiety, and stress resulting in better sleep, while also helping to restore tired, achy muscles associated with pregnancy.
